Please read this carefully before making any contribution. This document explains the nature of fan support on Mystics of Sound and what it does — and does not — constitute.

Fan support IS
- A voluntary, optional financial contribution from fans to artists they love
- A community backing mechanism with no legal obligation to the artist
- A subscription membership granting access to patron perks and closer connection
- Cancellable at any time — you retain access until the end of your billing period
- Processed by third-party payment providers and subject to their terms
- Subject to Mystics of Sound's platform terms and acceptable use policy
Fan support is NOT
- An equity stake, ownership share, or financial instrument of any kind
- A guaranteed financial return or investment product
- A regulated investment, collective investment scheme, or securities offering
- A loan, deposit, lending arrangement, or banking product
- A profit-sharing arrangement with legal enforceability
- An initial public offering, crowdfunding investment, or public share sale
- A promise of any specific creative output or delivery from the artist
- Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) or equivalent body
No Financial Returns
Fan support and patron subscriptions do not generate financial returns. You will not receive dividends, interest, profit, or any monetary benefit from your contributions. Supporting an artist is an act of cultural patronage, not investment.
No Ownership Rights
Contributions do not grant ownership of the artist's work, catalogue, intellectual property, masters, or any rights related to music, performances, or creative output. Artists retain full ownership and control of their work.
No Guarantees of Output
Fan support does not create a legally binding obligation for the artist to produce, release, or deliver any specific creative work. Goals funded through the platform represent the artist's stated intentions, not contractual commitments.
Platform Not Regulated as Financial Service
Mystics of Sound is a cultural platform, not a regulated financial institution. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), or any equivalent financial regulatory body. The fan support feature is not a financial product.
Anonymous Support
Anonymous contributions are kept in internal compliance records to meet our anti-money laundering (AML) obligations. Your anonymity is maintained publicly and toward the artist. We retain the right to investigate transactions flagged for AML review.
AML and KYC Compliance
We are required to apply anti-money laundering checks and may request identity verification (Know Your Customer / KYC) for transactions above certain thresholds. Transactions flagged for AML review may be delayed or declined. This is a legal requirement, not optional.
Refund Policy
One-time support contributions are generally non-refundable, as they are processed immediately to the artist. If an artist leaves the platform, recurring subscriptions are cancelled and future billing stops. Pro-rated refunds may apply in specific circumstances at our discretion. Contact support for individual queries.
Goal Contributions
Contributions toward artist goals are voluntary. If a goal is not reached or is withdrawn, we will make reasonable efforts to process refunds, but this is not guaranteed. Goals represent the artist's aspirational targets, not contractual deliverables.
Jurisdiction
This platform is operated from the United Kingdom. By making contributions, you agree that disputes are governed by English law. Users in certain jurisdictions may be subject to additional local regulations. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with your local laws.
